Researching Your Family Patriot
The NSDAR web site provides information on how to begin, or continue, your genealogical research.

If you want to know if a known ancestor is recognized by the DAR as a Revolutionary Patriot, you may check the Genealogical Reseach System (GRS) on the NSDAR web site. The GRS is a combination of several extensive genealogical databases and contains names of Revolutionary patriots, both men and women, whose service (between 1775 and 1783) has been established by the National Society, Daughters of theAmerican Revolution.
